In Memory of Reema Samaha

6/23/88 - 4/16/07

Reema began dancing with Hill and Veil in the Fall of 2006. We remember being impressed with her during our beginner hour and feeling excited when she asked to follow along with the advanced hour. It was easy for all the advanced girls to see Reema was a natural dancer. She loved to dance and it showed in every movement. Reema quickly showed us how much she had to offer. She could choreograph, she had been dancing since she was two, and she knew many different types of dance.

Reema performed with us in Dance of Nations, Fall 2006; Diwali, Fall 2006; She Sha, Fall 2006; and International Week Street Fair, Spring 2007. Her smile always lit up the stage, even when the rest of us would forget to smile.

Reema also helped us choreograph the beginner choreography and the advanced choreography for the show that we would have held on April 21, 2007. In addition she was working on a trio with two other members. She was also a member of Contemporary Dance Ensemble, Salsa Tech, and Cedars of Lebanon, and helped choreograph on these dance teams as well.

Reema loved to choreograph and to dance. She spent countless hours a week dancing in all different groups. She spent her last weekend dancing her heart out with Contemporary Dance Ensemble's spring show and the International Week Street Fair.

We were blessed to have Reema as part of our group, even if it was only for less than one school year. She has given us so much and we will miss her forever.
